Devita is the sixth of seven siblings, living with her mother in Padadita after her parents' divorce. Her mother is currently being treated for a stroke and works only as a homemaker, so Devita's older siblings help cover the family's daily needs. She previously received PIP assistance, which she used to pay overdue fees and buy school supplies. After school, she helps her siblings with their work, and she takes part in Pramuka activities. Devita dreams of becoming a religion teacher and hopes a scholarship can help relieve some of her family's financial pressure.
