Yublina lives with her grandparents in Kambanitu after her parents' divorce; her father has since remarried and returned to Lombok, while her mother works at a bakery and has also remarried. She is the eldest of four siblings from her parents' separate families. She received PIP assistance in grade 10, which she used for school supplies, family needs, and her mother's debts. After saving prize money from being top of her class, she was able to buy a phone to support her studies. She is active in church activities and has remained her class's top student since grade 10, despite rarely sharing her own struggles, including illness, to avoid burdening her grandparents. Yublina dreams of becoming a pastor, though she feels uncertain the goal is within reach given her family's circumstances. She hopes a scholarship can help ease her grandparents' load and make her family proud.
